Pearl

Pearl is an organic gemstone created within the soft tissue of shelled molluscs like oysters and mussels. Its primary component is calcium carbonate, arranged in concentric layers. Pearls vary in colour, including white, cream, black, and pink. They form naturally but are more commonly cultured in pearl farms. The Persian Gulf, Australia, and the South Pacific are significant sources of natural pearls. In contrast, cultured pearls predominantly come from Japan, China, and Southeast Asia.
