Lapis Lazuli

Lapis lazuli is a deep blue metamorphic rock. Its intense blue colour comes from the mineral lazurite, often containing calcite (white) and pyrite (metallic yellow) inclusions. Significant sources include Afghanistan, Chile, Russia, and Italy.
