Halite

Halite, commonly known as rock salt, is a sodium chloride (NaCl) mineral with a cubic crystal system. It's typically colourless or white, but impurities can add hues like blue, purple, pink, red, orange, or yellow. Formed in deposits of evaporated seawater, significant sources include the USA, Canada, Germany, and China.
