Citrine can be found in both Mansa, in the Luapula Province, and Kitwe, in the Copperbelt Province of Zambia. Mansa, a northern town primarily known for its manganese deposits, also hosts small-scale artisanal mining of quartz varieties like citrine. In Kitwe, a major mining hub in Zambia's mineral-rich Copperbelt, citrine is occasionally recovered alongside copper and cobalt. These regions contribute to Zambia's growing reputation as a source of quartz varieties, including natural citrine.
